Who we are

Horiza is published by Aidalys, which is also your contracting party for everything in this document. You can reach us at support@horiza.app.

What Horiza is

Horiza writes walking tours, narrated by a guide, and accompanies you while you walk them. Tours are generated automatically by AI models from public sources and from your request: they can contain mistakes — a closed door, a moved statue, a date historians dispute — and they replace neither a professional guide nor an official source. Check anything you intend to rely on.

Your account

Walking safely

Horiza suggests routes; it does not watch the road for you. Your safety remains yours: look where you are going, follow the rules of the road, and do not enter a closed or dangerous place because a tour mentioned it. Sharing your progress with a trusted contact is a convenience that depends on network coverage — in an emergency, call the emergency services (112 in Europe), never the app.

Credits and purchases

Generated tours and some content are paid for in credits, bought through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown before you confirm. Credits are a means of payment inside Horiza only: they have no cash value and cannot be transferred. A tour whose generation fails is credited back to you. Once spent, credits are not refundable unless applicable law says otherwise; for the purchase itself, the store's own refund rules apply.

Printed keepsakes

Souvenirs you order in print are made for you alone, from your photos, and shipped by our print partner. Because they are personalised, the EU right of withdrawal does not apply to them — but a print that arrives damaged or defective is reprinted or refunded: write to us with a photo of what you received. Delivery times are estimates, and the shipping address is yours to get right.

What you publish

Photos you add to a private album are encrypted on your phone: we cannot read them. What you publish on a community wall is visible to other walkers, and you must have the right to publish it — including for the people in the picture. Do not publish content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exposes someone else's private life. By publishing, you allow us to display the content within Horiza; you can take it down at any time, and so can we when it breaks these rules. Anything published can be reported from the app, and we review reports.

Tours you author

A tour you create is born private. Publishing it makes it available to other walkers; you publish only what you have the right to publish, and you remain responsible for its content. We may unpublish a tour that breaks these rules or the law.

When we may step in

We may suspend an account, or its right to publish, when it endangers other walkers, breaks these terms or abuses the service — fraud on purchases included. You may stop using Horiza whenever you wish.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change in a way that matters, the app shows you the new dated version and asks for your agreement again. The version you accepted is the one that applies between us.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law, and Belgian courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, the consumer protections of your own country that cannot be waived still apply, and you keep the right to bring proceedings at home. If we disagree, write to us first — most things are resolved at support@horiza.app. Consumers in Belgium can also turn to the Consumer Mediation Service.
